Lake Highland Preparatory School encourages all students to develop their athletic abilities and cultivate a lifelong interest in health and fitness. We offer an outstanding interscholastic athletic program, as well as an exciting and thoughtful physical education (P.E.) curriculum.
Our P.E. program for students in grades K-12 provides optimal instruction and practice time to teach movement, skills, and motivation to foster participation in athletic activities now and throughout their lives.
Led by trained coaches and teachers, our interscholastic athletic program provides students in Grades 6-12 opportunities on 57 teams in 17 sports. Our Middle School athletic program offers expert instruction and a range of choices for sixth, seventh, and eighth graders – choices that are not provided in most schools today. Middle School students are eligible to participate on 17 teams in 10 sports. From our Middle School program to our Junior Varsity and Varsity teams, Lake Highland Prep’s athletic program creates robust opportunities for athletes to learn and develop both specific skills and leadership abilities. Highlanders have won dozens of individual and team state championships since the school began in 1970.
More important than winning championships, however, are the virtues that Lake Highland Prep's student-athletes cultivates through athletic programs – teamwork, fair play, leadership, grit, and grace.
